About

Welcome! I’m Daniel Rice. I created this blog in 2011 to upload pictures I took of historical documents during my internship at the National Archives. For a while, I provided historical background and my own analysis for each of the documents, but my only-human pace clashed with my primary goal: to share these images with the rest of the world. So I uploaded the rest at once with few editorial enhancements.

Since then, I’ve added photos from Supreme Court-related events and my visits to famous gravesites.

All historical documents you see here are in the public domain, so feel free to reuse my images of these documents for any reason whatsoever.

My email address is dbrice88 [at] gmail.com.

Thanks for the use of Lincoln’s Second Annual Message to Congress photo for the post to my blog. I’m listing your site on my Lincoln Sites page. I appreciate your efforts for all of us. Have a good weekend.
